Lifeways is a market leading provider of supported living for people with complex needs and is the only private sector provider offering nationwide coverage.  Lifeways supports more than 3,200 people throughout the UK, and has more than 5,500 staff with a high level of in-house expertise and experience.

We backed the management buy-out of Lifeways in July 2007 following a direct approach to the company earlier that year, after having previously tracked and diligenced the market dynamics.

Since the buyout, we supported the management in professionalising the business and creating a strong platform which is scalable for growth.  We have worked with the management team to grow the business internally by appointing new Executive Team to support the CEO, backing management to review and put in place full quality, development, finance and health & safety teams.  The team has developed a range of new services for their clients cementing their position as a leading care and support provider.

As well as cultivating growth organically we have supported the management team in the bolt-on of five acquisitions.
