Chairman's Network

August Equity appoints an independent chairman to the board of each of its investments.

Each chairman is carefully chosen and appointed in consultation with the company’s management team. Potential chairmen are identified through a range of sources including regular networking events hosted by August Equity, advisor introductions, and existing relationships with the portfolio management team and investment team.

We remain in contact with potential candidates who will be invited to various events in order to network with the investment team and current chairmen of the portfolio companies.

Skills and Qualities

We want to meet with chairmen who possess a wide range of experience, particularly in M&A and private equity businesses, who can demonstrate a track record of entrepreneurship and business acumen.

The chairman regularly reviews different elements of the business, keeps the management motivated to deliver the business plan and aids in the alignment of the management team's ambitions. Additionally, the chairman can play an important role in leading discussions in the run up to an exit.
