August Equity LLP ("August Equity") is pleased to announce that its portfolio company Lifeways Community Care Limited ("Lifeways") has acquired both Clover Care Group Services Limited (“Clover Care”) and Home Support Services (Scotland) Limited (“HSS”).
Clover Care is based in Lancashire and provides supported living for young adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
HSS is based in Inverness, Scotland, and operates a supported living service predominantly for young adults with learning disabilities.
The acquisitions were funded by debt provided by HSBC and represent two new geographies for Lifeways.
Commenting on the acquisition, Aatif Hassan of August Equity, said: "The two new acquisitions are an exciting development for Lifeways. They broaden its geographical scope and further strengthen its commitment to high quality service throughout the UK. We are keen to continue the development of Lifeways and hope to announce more acquisitions in the near future."
Paul Marriner, chief executive, Lifeways, said: "The acquisitions will help us to enhance the service offering to our clients and geographical reach. Both Clover Care and HSS are high quality service providers and have consistently been recognised for this by the CQC and the Scottish Care Commission respectively.”
Lifeways was initially backed by August Equity in July 2007 and is a market-leading private sector provider of supported living for people with complex needs.
