August Equity LLP ("August Equity"), an independent private equity firm investing between £10 million and £50 million of equity in UK based companies, is pleased to announce that David Lonsdale has joined the firm to further strengthen its investment team.
David joins August Equity from British Sky Broadcasting plc ("BSkyB"), where he worked in the corporate finance division. During his time at BSkyB, David was responsible for UK transactions across sectors including pay and commercial television and new media, including the acquisition of a 17.9% stake in ITV plc, and the acquisition of You Me TV Ltd. Prior to working at BSkyB, David worked for ITV plc as a business development manager, and for KMPG Corporate Finance in the Private Equity Group.
David will be responsible for originating and executing deals across August Equity's four sectors - Healthcare, Media and Technology, Industrial Products and Services and Consumer Products and Services.
