3Si was created by August Equity through the strategic acquisition of Ocean Safety, Revere International and Typhoon International.
We identified an opportunity to consolidate a fragmented market and build a business with international reach, capable of meeting the increasingly complex safety demands of global marine clients.
The combined business offered a wide range of products and services for commercial, military and leisure marine customers, with operations across six UK sites and one in the US.
UK sites in operation
Over the investment period, 3Si completed four bolt-on acquisitions, broadening its offering and enabling the business to signidicantly expand into the US, enhancing its appeal to strategic buyers. In 2018, the business was exited to Alliance Marine, a French-based marine safety group.
