The Healthcare Deal Club brings key decision makers together and offers the chance for vendors and entrepreneurs to network and meet the August Equity team. The format for the evening will be a question and answer panel discussing themes emerging from the healthcare sector and identifying areas that are ripe for development and investment.
Stephen O’Brien, Shadow Health Minister, and Peter Calveley, CEO of Four Seasons Health Care, have agreed to be our guest speakers at the event.
August Equity sponsored the September Last Thursday event in Bristol on 24 September. The event, which was held in The Living Room on Millennium Square, is aimed at corporate finance advisors and professionals in the Bristol area and allowed guests to discuss key activities in the south west region.
August Equity hosted its second Chairman’s Curry Club of 2009 in Amaya Restaurant on 22 June. Amaya is renowned for its theatrical restaurant where meals are prepared in front of guests.
The evening enabled our network of chairmen to get together, discuss emerging themes in the industry and catch up with developments within August Equity.
Sam Watkinson and Keith Davidson hosted an Industrial Products golf morning followed by an afternoon at the Boodles Tennis Challenge at the award-winning Stoke Park Club on Friday 19 June.
The event allowed our guests to discuss developments in the Industrial Products sector whilst also enjoying the wonderful golf course. The golf competition was won by Keith Davidson, August Equity, and Patrick Groarke, Livingstone Partners.
Aatif Hassan spoke at the Coldharbour Systems Strategic Forum on 9 September. He presented on the topic of private equity investing in healthcare.
Richard Green attended the Capital Creation Conference in Monaco from 15 to 17 September. He moderated the session on Ensuring Consistency Of Valuations In A Turbulent Market and chaired the afternoon session on 15 September.
August Equity has signed up to the London Better Together Charter, which is a campaign that aims to help businesses make London a better place to do business. The charter lists Environment, Workplace, Community and Marketplace as areas where businesses can make a difference and allows them to identify existing actions and commit to new ones.
