August Equity held a Software-as-a-Service breakfast seminar at its offices on 27 April 2010.
The event was centered on a roundtable discussion chaired by David Mitchell, SVP IT Research of Ovum. The discussion focused on the general trends in the SaaS market with an emphasis on the attributes required for a SaaS business to increase its scale.
August Equity hosted a Chairman’s Clay Pigeon Shoot on Thursday 22 April at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School. The event allowed our network of chairmen to discuss emerging trends in the market, catch up on developments in August Equity and, of course, perfect or develop their shooting skills.
August Equity will host its inaugural Business Services Deal Club on 22 September. The event will focus on the recent trends in the sector and will allow guests to network and catch up on developments within August Equity. Speakers will be announced closer to the time.
August Equity held its Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Deal Club on 10 March 2010.
The event focused on the developments in the pharmaceutical services sector. The speakers for the event were James Steel, Director of KBC Peel Hunt, and Kevin James, Chairman of Rosemont Pharmaceutical. The event was attended by intermediaries and management teams and stimulated interesting debate on the sector.
August Equity co-sponsored the Intellect Regent Software Conference in February 2010. The one-day conference focused on the theme “Technology takes the lead in rebuilding the economy”.
The conference was attended by industry leaders, investors and advisors and provided a discussion platform to assess the market and the strategic challenges shaping the technology industry.
August Equity will host a table of healthcare services professionals at The MINT Polo in the Park event in June. The event will enable a discussion of the developments across the healthcare sector over lunch amid the backdrop of polo matches in the afternoon.
Aatif Hassan was a panellist at the Private Equity Exit Strategies Conference which was held on 21 and 22 April in London. Aatif spoke on the topic “Realistic Price Expectations in Today’s Market”.
