Portfolio company, Fargo Group, the UK-based intermodal logistics software provider has acquired IXOLUTION, a Netherlands-based provider of intermodal transport management software.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered near Rotterdam, IXOLUTION provides a suite of intermodal software to logistics customers across 12 countries, supporting transport planning, terminal operations and rail cargo logistics. The business brings an established European intermodal-focussed customer base, domain expertise and a proven, deeply embedded pan-European intermodal software platform to Fargo Group.
The acquisition establishes new bases in the Netherlands and Germany for Fargo, and strengthens the group's ability to serve international customers operating across increasingly connected UK-EU intermodal supply chains. Co-founders Ton Stuit and Kornee Sterrenburg will both continue in their existing roles.
Ollie Reynolds, Associate Director at August Equity, said:
“This acquisition is directly on-strategy for Fargo - it provides immediate scale in the Benelux region and comes with a highly complimentary set of intermodal-focussed customers and capabilities. We are looking forward to working with Ton, Kornee and the wider team at IXOLUTION to continue to invest in and grow the group's combined intermodal logistics software capability across the UK and Europe.”
Darren Palfrey, CEO of Fargo Group, said:
“IXOLUTION is a highly complementary addition to Fargo. It strengthens our European presence and adds a proven platform and experienced team aligned with our vision. Together, we are well-positioned to support customers managing increasingly complex, cross-border intermodal networks, while continuing to invest in product innovation and capability.”
