Seeded with a significant donation from the firm, the Foundation reflects our shared commitment to giving back through both financial contributions and hands-on support.
Our ambition is to not only provide funding but also to contribute our time, network, and expertise to support the charities with which we partner.
Led by a rotating internal steering committee, the Foundation empowers our entire team to get involved and take part in building lasting impact.
We’ve committed to supporting four core charities on a multi-year basis to foster lasting relationships, deeper engagement, and real, measurable impact.
The August Foundation is a restricted fund operating under Prism The Gift Fund, registered charity number 1099682.
Our Partnerships
We have proudly partnered with these impactful charities:
The Talent Tap
The Talent Tap is a social mobility charity that supports ambitious students from under-represented rural and coastal communities by providing mentoring, work experience, and access to professional networks, helping to unlock career opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
The August Foundation contributes annual funding alongside volunteering our time to support this mission.
Our team has conducted mock interviews with candidates and will host internships for participants of The Talent Tap’s Emerging Talent Programme in Summer 2025.
This partnership reflects our belief in breaking down barriers to opportunity and building a more equitable future. We’re committed to deepening our involvement through ongoing volunteering, engagement, and support for the young people that The Talent Tap serves.
Soup Kitchen London
Soup Kitchen London is a central London charity providing hot meals, mental health support, and a welcoming community space for people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
In addition to financial support from The August Foundation, our team regularly volunteers their time, helping to prepare and serve food, clean up, and support the charity’s dedicated staff.
With nearly 200 guests served each day, the charity relies heavily on volunteers, and we are proud to contribute both our time and resources to their vital work.
This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting our local community in practical, meaningful ways, and we look forward to expanding our involvement in the months and years ahead.
The Newman Holiday Trust
The Newman Holiday Trust provides week-long summer holidays to children with special needs and disabilities, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to go on holiday. The holidays have consistently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED and provide an environment which enables the children to learn new skills and form strong friendships, as well as providing respite for their families and carers.
The charity now runs seven summer holidays a year for children with additional needs and is an entirely voluntary organisation.
A member of the August team introduced The Newman Holiday Trust having volunteered with the charity for a number of years. The August Foundation is proud to extend its support financially, as well as encouraging further volunteering from the team.
This partnership reflects The August Foundation’s dedication to supporting charities that are improving the lives of those more vulnerable.
Autonomie
Autonomie is a Belfast based charity providing support to young people with a range of complex additional needs and also to their families and carers. The charity offers support and advice through education, social and leisure activities, as well as promoting independence and transition into adult working life.
The Foundation is committed to supporting charities which meaningfully impact their communities. Autonomie provides emotional, practical and personal social development activities to young people aged between ages 16-35.
This partnership enables The August Foundation to support a community further afield but still provide meaningful funding to a charity providing an impactful service.
