Matt Powrie

I joined August in 2025 to develop and lead the in-house legal function.

I have over a decade of experience in advising institutional investors, corporates and management teams on M&A transactions (both in the UK and overseas), as well as being closely involved in assisting portfolio companies on legal matters during their private equity journeys.
 
The exciting part about my role is that it gives me the opportunity to work closely alongside the highly talented members of the August team and assist them in delivering the quality focussed, personal and collaborative approach to M&A that August is known for.
